You will need Chat GPT Plus, Team or Enterprise for this course. Learn more about each plan in our .
Released in 2024, GPT 4o is the latest model released by Open AI.
You can select it in the top left of your screen.
The prompt bar is fairly straightforward.
Click on the paperclip to upload documents from either your desktop, Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive.
Press your 'Enter' key or click on the upwards arrow to send a prompt to your GPT.
If you want to start a new conversation with ChatGPT, you can click on the 'New Chat' icon on the top left.
It is best practice to start a new conversation if you are discussing completely different topics with your GPT.
NOTE: A new conversation has no memory of any previous chats you have had. You will have to retrain this new chat or you can continue to use old chats if you would rather stay on topic.
The navigation bar in your left panel allows you to sift through previous discussions with GPT and revisit them for further prompting.
You can share existing discussions with your peers by clicking the share icon in the top right corner of an existing conversation.
In November 2023, Open AI announced custom GPTs, which allows individuals to train GPTs and publish them for public use.
You can explore useful GPTs by clicking 'Explore GPTs' on your left navigation bar.
Whilst further privacy settings are built into the of ChatGPT, you can avoid confidential information being processed by Open AI by opting out of 'Improve the Model for Everyone' in Settings.
